I am running a Holley carb on my 40, which evidently necessitated the removal of the stock pedal and linkages that would have gone with the 2F carb. This carb was the result of the PO and not me.
I dont have any complaints about the carburetor, but the pedal is REAL sticky. I can push it down about 1/8 - 1/4" and then I have to mash on it pretty good to get it to go down the rest of the way. There isnt anything wrong with the carb, it moves fine on that end.
I am curious if anyone here is using the Holley, and if so, did you have a similar problem? Is it the cable I need to replace, or should I pull the pedal and see if something is wrong there?
Can the cable be lubed?
Thanks!
