I've a rather annoying, although not critical problem, that I hope someone could give me a pointer on before I start digging.

It's gotten really humid here in TX the last few weeks. I've discovered that, when I take a hard right turn, the ice-cold condensate from the AC will spill into my right shoe. A hard left turn, and it'll spill into the front passenger's left shoe.

It's not so much the wet shoes as it is the freezing water being suddenly dumped on my foot that bothers me. And my reaction can be a driving hazard, too.

Anyway, what I suspect is that there's a drain line that's clogged. Before I go digging, does anybody know anything about this? It's an '86 FJ60...

Thanks,
-mcs

Small rubber hose, leads out of the unit and dumps someplace near the front side of the tranny. Creeper time, find the hose, poke a wire up it and wiggle about for a while. Alternate is take out the entire dash and find the hose. Squeeze it a few times then reassemble.

Yup, creeper time; you basically can not see or reach the drain from above.

The drain is a (about) 3/8 dia rubber tube, bout 2.5 inch long; pointed down.
It's gets plugged up with damp goo that drains from A/C.

While cleaninf ( long Q tip, or snmething gentle), don't be under it ( your eyes / mouth / etc) cause once it flows, it goes....
