What are people’s approaches to servicing AC on older vehicles? I can clearly hear air in my system, even though it is cooling pretty well (until about 95F - then it starts to struggle). The sound is a slow groan, not so much as you’d hear in a house with bad pipes.
I’m going out of town for a week and am tempted to leave it at my local shop for a recharge. I’ve had this screw with vehicles in the past, however, making the problem worse rather than better. Leave it, or have the shop do a refrigerant exchange?
