Hi all,
i have lexus lx470 2000 i changed timing belt on time but after 30,000 km driven the timing belt was cut and the engine turned off i took it to mechanical , he told me the cause of this was one bully goes out because of bolt broken (broken because it was welding before and the gap on the oil pump was fixed to be bigger to fit the bolt) , i change TB with new set + new oil pump , to change it the mechanical opened all front down parts to take space to open the oil pan and remove the old oil pump , he took out front tires , axles , front differential and all other things down front , after fixing it the engine start smooth and everything's will and the engine still strong , but rpm dose not go over 3800 (the engine cant go over 3.8 and shaking if i try to go over this Unburned fuel sound come from exhaust and check engine light Blinks ) other problem: all ABS TRC VSC lights came <i take it to computer check and they told ABS computer need to be changed it cost to much and i don't know if i change it the RPM will go to natural 5200-5300 , i need to fix engine RPM at first its more important than ABS system
, i want to know the ABS computer control the RPM if its not working can cause this problem? and is it reprogrammed? (the mechanical told me some errors like yaw sensor ABS Steering control etc... or , is it possible that when he opened the front down parts makes damages to ABS sensors? or something needs clean. the mechanical checked it too many times and told me everything putted In the correct position.
Is it possible that wrong TB adjustment make this problem (as he told me the TB is correct) and this problem cost me too much money & time and i cant trust more mechanical s for nothing:o:o
note: i cheeked all sensors all thing are fine coils & spark plugs , crank sensor hoses ... etc
regards,,,

Is the timing belt lined up properly?
When reading through your post (very hard when it seems to one single sentence with no obvious start and end using capitals) it seems that the mechanic has almost rebuilt the whole engine.
I am sure you don't have to take of the wjheels, front axle, diff etc to do a timing belt? I could be wrong, but that seems to be a little more work than really needed.

Hi Wilsil

thanks for your replay and i am sorry for hard reading my post. The mechanical told me to change oil Pump and this is the hard job to do.
Its located under water Pump and it have 2 holes for TB bully's bolts , one hole was adjusted before that's why one bully came out while i drive and TB broken.
To change oil Pump 2 ways: first, you can take out whole engine and open oil pan to remove the other part of oil Pump from inside (because no space when the engine inside ) second : open all front down parts which it used on my car
that's why the work became more
I took it to Lexus dealer and they think TB need adjustment to correct points.
I will inform you with the results today

thank you

I read somewhere that there are two markings, but only 1 is the correct one.

Good news dealer fixed RPM problem and they told me some wrong connections and wires + wrong sensors they fixed it about 200$ + the engine is noninterference as the TB was cut .
the second problem about ABS VSC TRS lights , they told to change ABS computer first and one sensor (i keep it last because it cost too much)
third issue speedometer not working probably they told to change speed sensor first then check if not work then they will check speed gauges and i don't fix it they will charge me allot ( i hear that there is 2 speed sensors how to check them )?
thanks
