ABS VSC or Traction Problem?

First time poster here... I used plenty of the information here to help me make my buying decisions. You guys provide a wealth of info here. I searched on my current situation and couldn't find anyone in the same boat as me.

I ended up with an '01 LC with 90k on it.

I have run into a problem immediately:

Occasionally, when starting from a stop it feels like the traction control or the abs kicks in hard. It won't let you accelerate out of it. It comes out of it after a few seconds. And sometimes a minute later I will look down and the vsc and abs lights will be on. If you shut the truck off the lights will not come back on.

As of right now it does not do "it" enough to be able to gurantee that it will do it for a Toyota Tech.

A buddy of mine who is really into these Cruisers told me it sounds like it might be steering angle position sensor.

Any help before Toyota rips me a new one?

anyone have any ideas???

maybe every 25 or so miles when I leave from a stop the truck locks up and won't go anywhere for a few seconds.

It feels like the traction control sticks on.
