So my ABS and VSC lights have been coming on and off sporadically for the last few weeks on my '06. I have also noticed that the ABS will engage randomly during local driving, somewhat unnerving. I haven't noticed this on the highway. Yesterday, I finally got around to running Techstream and a number of codes came up. Wanted to get the forum's take on how to go about addressing these. I already have a new front speed sensor on order which should address C0205 and C1236. The other codes seem to be unrelated to the speed sensor. Will I need to replace the ABS module? If so, is that a plug and play or will it require additional programming?

Did you get this solved? Mine popped on this morning and went away after a restart but I'm worried they might do it again so I'm trying to be proactive.

These are usually a result of failed/failing steering rack bushings, causing the sensors to fail to "see" the target. The codes are listed as a sensor failure, because the ECM can't see the state of the bushings. When the bushings get loose, the rack wobbles and the sensors miss their expected targets, as the rack moves through its path. The ECM attempts to compensate for what the program expects to be an overshoot, by pulling the steering back the other way. This in turn causes a fault to be recorded.

The bushings are replaceable by themselves.

So if I just had my steering rack replaced last year and had a dobinson lift, new upper control arms, and new cv axles replaced last month...that would be a problem.
