I am in need of some help regarding my 94 80 series. There seems to be an issue with the ABS system. About a month ago, the ABS light came on. ABS was no longer active and working correctly. A couple days later it went off, and all was working fine. Then about a week ago, when ever you come to a stop, right before the truck comes to a complete stop, the brake pedal pulses...as if you are slipping on ice.... The ABS light is not on, but have verified that it does work (lights up when I start the truck or push the Center Diff Lock)
Any ideas as to why, everytime I come to a stop, i get the pulsating of the ABS as I am rolling to a stop? It only pulsates once, right before coming to a dead stop. They are the stock axles.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks in advance,

Russell

One common situation is that bits of worn metal from the birfs collect on the sensor and impair it's sensing. You can remove the sensors from the knuckes and inspect for a collection of metal bits, clean, and replace. Failing that, get the service manual and follow the diagnosis steps.

Same issue here...search there is a ton of info. Use the paper clip method to pull the code to narrow down the sensor. Cleaning didn't help mine.
