Our next work day is planned for Saturday, July 22nd in Big Bear. We will meet at 9 am at the parking area in front of the Fawnskin fire station. Please bring work gloves, water, sunscreen, lunch/snacks, etc. We will be doing brushing so if you have loppers, pruning tools, pitchforks, etc please bring them. We will work for a few hours and then break for lunch. The afternoon is available for trail rides as desired. Anyone interested in Friday night camping please feel free to coordinate in this thread.

I'm in Kim! Hedge trimmer is in the shop in anticipation of this. I have a short pitch fork and a good ratcheting limb looper.

I won't bring my chainsaw!!!

I won't be able to attend this event . However, I do have some Landscape commercial duty. Cordless battery equipment that could be provided for the day. Ie; 18" chain saw w/ 2- 82v batteries . And possibly a couple of other battery /cordless equipment pieces? Someone can contact me directly if interested in arranging for picking up the equipment .

No chainsaws, battery or gas I'd imagine.

Thanks Marc but we cannot use chainsaws.

So only 4 of us so far? Come on gang!

...and I just picked up my hedge trimmer with nice sharpened blades! Let the fun begin!!!

What say those of us going. With excessive heat, is it wise to go?? I know we could take it easier and hydration is a given.

Big Bear forecast has a high of 85 for Saturday. We may not work in the afternoon if it is too hot. And yes hydration and rest breaks is a must.

I’m still in, heat notwithstanding. Bringing plenty of water, sunscreen, and a hat.
