The next quarterly meeting for AAT is Thursday, July 27th at 7 pm. The meeting location is Corona Sizzler off the 15 fwy on Rimpau. Plan to arrive by 6:30 pm of you are planning to get dinner. Please reply to this thread if you are planning to attend.

The AAT BBQ is Saturday, Sept 9th at the Big Bear Discovery Center starting at 3 pm. More details will be provided when it gets closer.

Bump to the top for AAT BBQ on September 9. The club is hoping to combine some activities for this one (pending approval from our AAT coordinators, of course):

1) AAT workday in the morning - if we get a good turn out, we may be able to make substantial headway clearing a lot of the overgrown brush that enjoyed all of winter weather and the subsequent moisture! It would be nice to get in at least one more workday before winter weather sets in again.

2) September club meeting at lunch, since our regularly scheduled meeting would occur on Labor Day weekend.

3) Attend the AAT BBQ.

Do you think we can kill these 3 birds with one stone? Let's hope so!

I think so. What time should we try and start the day? 8 am? 9 am? As a suggestion, we can have two departure times, at 8 for the early birds and at 9:30 for the second shift

All, workday for Sept 9th is a no go. We could still meet for a bring your own lunch meeting at a spot on our trail attend the BBQ at the Discovery Center. I need an RSVP with headcount on this thread to provide to BBQ organizers. Please reply by August 26th if you are planning on attending the AAT BBQ in Big Bear on Sat Sept 9th from 3 pm - 7 pm. Jim and I are planning to attend. You will need to bring camp chairs and if some of us could bring easy ups then we will have shade.

I will still be up for the BBQ! Since we are not doing the work day, I plan on mountain biking instead. I plan on heading up Friday night, getting a yellow post site close to town, then mountain bike in the morning. I will try my best to make it to the lunch meeting, but will be there for the BBQ. I will have at least 2 friends with me as well, but can confirm in the next day or two. We may also camp it out Saturday night as well.

Work day is off. Jim and I will still be heading up for the BBQ and would love to have other members come as well. See my post below regarding RSVP and if we still want to have a club meeting during the lunch hour.

Hey all - Since the workday is off, and we no longer have a viable AAT, let’s have our September meeting at The Dirt (normal location in Modjeska Canyon). However, the first Sunday is Labor Day weekend, we’ll meet on Sunday, 9/10.

Sorry for any confusion! I’ll start a new meeting thread on this site, and will get out a club newsletter soon.

Is there any interest in a somewhat impromptu club run in Big Bear on Saturday, the 9th? Maybe not, since we just did the Big Bear-a-thon…
