Has anyone seen one of these input shafts pull through the splines?

My customer brough in a V8 cruiser with auto and factory tcase, big crack in the case and his gears were shot, input shaft just mm away from stripping.

Dad has my camera, get pics tomorrow.

A few years ago We took a salvage yard th350 short shaft two wheel drive trans, and cut an 1 1/8" off with a chop saw to make it work with a Advance adaptor. Only to avoid changing the output shaft, we were a long way from home!

so you think this was the input shafts fault???

not cruiser specific but, I would not purchase any AA shafts of any sort.

Curious,

What is driving this opinion?

Could you please elaborate on why you feel this way?

Thanks!

Ditto, we have sold AA stuff for 10+ years, never a problem with a shaft?

Still no camera.............

Couple points missed that I did not tell.

-Case has major crack through it
-Spud shaft bolt seemed cross threaded and not tight when removed

AA gave me a killer price on replacement parts.

I would not blame AA for that...

I have two Land Cruiser 4 speed transmissions that were behind V8's that the main shaft looks like that, and the gear splines are tore up also. I found that the nut on the end of the main shaft was not tight when I tore into them.....

Good luck!

You got it Steve, found the same thing when I rip into it.

Glad you confirmed my first thoughts.
