What's the MUD knowledge on A705F overhauls? Here's the dealio: have a contact who's looking do sell an 03 on the cheap, but it's had it's trans overhauled. Have receipts, although I don't know yet from what shop nor do I know what the original cause of failure was. So:
- Since it's so rare so see an A750F problem, what would one look for in the inspection? Is it that they either shift or they don't or are there warning signs of a bad overhaul?
- Is the trans standard enough in it's design that you'd trust any (reputable) shop to overhaul them or is this an activity that would be butchered if not done by a Toyota-only shop?
