Hi

1996 HDJ81 w A442F. Just had my transmission serviced, drained refilled, new filter etc. Note on invoice "quite a lot of metal in oil pan". It sounds like the fluid had not be changed in a very long time, if at all. I don't think it was chunks, but shavings perhaps. Would metal in the oil pan be a concern if it was very old fluid? It shifts smoothly, only has a funny intermittent rev pattern going from first>second at random times where it over revs slightly prior to up-changing, which I put down to the TPS adjustment? What are the signs of an A442F going bad? Do I just keep driving it and keep an eye on the fluid? I only do highway/on-road ks in it, no towing.

Thanks.
