I believe I have one. I bought a 62 FJ60 with a blown 2F motor and the guy had bought a 3FE motor to replace it. It came with the auto trans but I'm not going to use the auto. I don't know where I am able to look up which trans it is but according to the info I found, this is the correct year for it. The motor had less than 100K miles and upon tear down there was no damage found. attached are some pictures. I can take more specific ones if needed. If you know where to look for the specific tag that says what trans it is, I can take a picture for you. I am located in south east washington by the way.

Ok. What does the F stand for? I don’t know much about land cruisers yet.
F stands for 4wd
Im pretty this is 4wd but if you don't want to deal with me thats fine.

Didn't see the OP say which one is after, FJ62 or FJ80. Problem is two versions of the A440F used in the US. Depends on if the OP has a part time or full time transfer case.

They are the same transmission fj62-80, just different tail shafts, and of course tcases. A guy could swap the shafts out and use the trans in either app...a lot of work tho...

Believe it's more then the tailshaft. The FJ62 requires the T case to be split to get to the bolts to remove it from the transmission. On the FJ80 the transfer can be remove without tearing it down. Not sure what it all takes to switch everything out and how much work it is but the two do not just inter change.

It’s just a tail shaft... and the tcase...
Still looking for an A440F? I got one I want rid of....I just pulled it out and put it on a pallet yesterday
