Having my FJ62 transmission (A440F) rebuilt and they are telling me I need a transmission output shaft. I’m going by there today to take a look but hoping someone may have one laying around...any help is greatly appreciated!

These shafts were discontinued a long time ago and are very difficult to find. We usually always install one of our sumo gear ling-spline transfer case input gears to alleviate the issue at hand.

These landcruiser parts just keep surprising me. I have four A440F transmissons in my garage in various condition not to mention the one in my truck. What are these going for these days?

If you get in a bind and no one else is helping I'll help. Prefer not to deal with disassembling a transmission to get it out but let me know.

I really appreciate the response and offer.
I think Georg has got me hooked up with a long spline transfer case input gear though. He's been extremely helpful and is confident this will solve any issues! With that said, if you have a transmission output shaft that is in good condition, I'm happy to buy it from you if the price is right!
The McNamara Gear or equivalent gear that Georg is selling is your best bet regardless of shaft wear.

Great news! I bought and received the input gear and a transfer case rebuild kit from @orangefj45. Everything showed up yesterday and is ready for install. Just to be extra careful, I bought a great looking transmission output shaft from @simonliew. It will show up on Monday. Both Georg and Simon have been great to work with and extremely helpful.
Transmission shop is all set up to rebuild the transmission and rebuild the transfer case. Getting the new transmission output shaft and the new transfer case input gear should be rock solid for a long time. Just to go the extra mile they are also installing a B&M SuperCooler transmission cooler.
Can't wait to get my girl back! Hopefully by the end of next week!
