A440F problems (1 Viewer)

Hi I have A 91 diesel with the 440 trans and it has just been rebuilt.
but when it is cold it wont shift out of 1 step unless you do it manualy. and if you then put it in 3 or D it just seems to go in to neutral.
but when it is warm it is just fine
the kick down cable and fluid is ok

what can be wrong?

My first advice: Take it back to the shop that rebuilt it, something went screwy.

I have spoken to them just wanted to know if anybody here would come up with the same answear,
sort of as a second opinion,
there arent wery many shops here that specialize in
rebuilding transmissions ,
but if there is something wrong, the shop will take care of it
and I wont have to pay for it.
