A weekend trip

You don't see this every day... This was a little trip I just got back from. It was more or less a "combat biathlon" - running 6 miles across the desert and shooting stuff, but it was 3 days 50 miles from the pavement and the head honcho is a Land Rover fanatic. Not exactly an "expedition", but pretty cool so I thought I'd share a few pics.

Didn't blow anything up (this time), but yeah we shot a lot of steel plates. I didn't get any pics of the shootin', since I was a range officer and was pretty busy when the shootin' was going on. We had a whopping 32 competitors who were dumb... er, I mean tough enough to run through the cactus and brush for 6 miles (in driving rain) this year!
