Do one better, call c-dan at american toyota and get the FSM. They can still get them, and you get 25% off for being a mud member, muuuuuch better info than the Haynes or Chiltons, and believe it or not it is much easier to understand!!! Good Luck!

so what you're saying is that there is no way the ce light could burn out

I never said that and anything is possible. However, the original poster said that when his truck was in a no-start condition, the CE light was out. Then once it cooled the CE light came back on. That is not typical of a burned out bulb. He also mentioned he did a bulb check. With those 2 pieces of information, I went out on a limb and assumed that the bulb was good.

Ben- sounds like the efi relay- good luck with it. Jay and Jon thanks for the help, Get a Hyanes Manual too

Keep in mind that the contacts in the fusebox should be suspect, as mentioned earlier. A replacement relay may work for a while, but if the contacts/crimps/wires are faulty you will be in a similar situation soon.

Haynes and Chilton are a waste of money, time, and effort. They are full of misinformation regarding several systems and their schematics mix up years and circuits.

Get the Toyota factory service manual and the electronic wiring diagram manuals either from Toyota of from me in electronic form.

Replaced relay and everything works great, thanks for all the help, I will check the connections and make sure there isn't anything out of the ordinary!

Thanks again for all the help
Ben

Dan has stated several times that he cannot get or give discounts on the FSM; best just to call Toyota Publications directly.

Yep, you are right... Forgot about that. However the FSM is well worth the $$$ MUCH better than a haynes....
