Isn't that a steering wheel I can see on the RH side of the rig? Those look like Aussie plates. And its an HJ.

Yeah it's RHD, got Queensland plates but a LHD windscreen surround. ??

Definitely an Aussie truck with that trayback, Donaldson, single spot and Sunraysia's. Almost sure only Aussie spec trucks came with 1/4 glass windows on later-style doors too.

Yes its a oz landcruiser,,,,,,,,,,, heres a picture of one, it has been hit by the sun for years, and a new one which I like,,,,,,, Too bad North America does not have this landcruiser,,,, I would buy one.

I don't get it. I think the air cleaner is hideous, the roof rack is terrible and the bull bar is obnoxious. And I H8 wagon wheels. There are far better "real" 45s all over this forum.

It looks great, its a real oz truck thats been worked in the outback. Cant be more real then that.

Gumby you seem to be a bit of an expert round here, any reason why this thing has a LHD windscreen panel but is an Aussie truck? I doubt it's had a LHD conversion.

I'm no expert. It does look like the w/s wiper motor is on the right side. I would think a new w/s before a whole LHD conversion. I have no idea why someone would do that.

Being real meaning its been across the outback......

But does not mean if a truck is not in the outback that it is not real. Just that image you get when you think of one at work,..,,.,.,.,.,.

More likely a fishing truck than outback.

I've just got back from a 5 night camping trip to Fraser Island on the Queensland Coast and that top rig is like a lot of the ones I saw cruising up and down the beach either on holiday or working.

The fact that the roof is peeling away from the windscreen surround due to rust and that there is rust coming from the body seams would indicate to me its seen the beach more than the bush.

These trucks are still fairly common over here and still used for there intended purposes, as a work horse.

I agree with Gumby's Hideous statement ! but hey if it's yours and it's hideous as some of mine have been in various states of repair then it's awesome cause '' I own it '' and you might find others that share that same thought. Cruisers are Cool period.
Now... what are you doing next to this '' Real 45 '' ? Up side down Bezel Auzie style ? repairs mods improvements ... ?
