Problem: Intermittent CEL - P0401, slight pinging under low rpm after gear shifts.

Fix: This weekend replaced VSV for EGR.

Result: Haven't noticed pinging and CEL has not come back yet (knock on George Washington's choppers). But have notice a notable decrease in throttle response/power, particularly at low rpm's.

Questions: Not fully up to speed on the full mechanic's of this part of the system, but would result seem logical? I believe I moved the throttle cable nuts a bit during removal and reinstall.. Could this be a part of the power problem? Couldn't find anything in the FSM about setting this.

The EGR is on a two trip logic, so it could go some time before coming back on again. Hopefully, you got it though. The throttle response should have nothing to do with it.
