A must have book. Shelley has been trying to buy this for over a year with no new copies available. I took a look the other day and found this new copy. It appears they are back to printing them. Barnes and noble has been out for the last two years.

Ordered. Thanks.

Found that one a bit ago on AbeBooks....they are great for out of print or hard to find books. I have bought a few First Edition Archibald Rutledge books from them...couple even signed. :)

Mine just arrived.

Mine came in too.

Can someone post the link to the Amazon purchase, when I look on Amazon I see prices from $1000-$2000 for the book???

It looks like this book has just gone out of print. I also purchased one from Amazon in September for $30. It seems that it is now a high priced collectible. Go figure! Suggest you do a search of used book dealers.

They've been available on amazon for years. I bought a few for gifts a few years back and decided to get myself on last year, I actually think I have 2 as I can't remember if I gave the 2nd one out as a gift or not. Good read. But only for the cruiser head so it stays off my coffee table. I do however have a "cruiser related" books on my coffee table. One was a book that SOR was selling a few years back with a guy that drives around to remote places in cruisers and takes amazing landscape pictures. Sometimes a few cruisers photo bomb them lol. Another is one I ordered right before I moved called no road or away from the road.... something like that. Its a collection of different overland stories from people out there. Great pics and a bunch of great rigs I found it through a bunch of overland blogs and facebook pages that I follow.... a few of them were featured in it.

Oh and this is the current amazon price of the cruiser book..... I'll sell mine for 1k and give someone a $392 discount

It will be back to normal price in a few months.... that kind of price spike seems to happen with cruiser and overland books and then drop again. I got my copy of "Who Needs a Road" for $10 new a few years back and i've seen it up in the $900 range on amazon before. It is currently at $14.95.

I also have an original copy from 1967

The one great thing about the cruiser legend book is I could finally prove what i've been telling people for years. The J in FJ, BJ, UZJ, etc.... stands for Jeep.

You can go to Abe Books and Walmart and they show out of stock now but PUT AN ALERT on if one shows up...same for Ebay. Looks like they have immediately become COLLECTIBLE. Couple weeks ago they were $37 at Walmart if I remember correctly.

The Land Cruiser Legend: Toyota's Cult Four Wheelers - All Models and Series from 1951 to the Present : Alexander Wohlfarth : 9783868526592

3868526595 - The Land Cruiser Legend: Toyota's Cult Four Wheelers - All Models and Series, from 1951 to the Present by Wohlfarth, Alexander - AbeBooks

I will let you read mine for $100 if you sit in my living room....$500 if you want to take it home. :santa:
