I finally got the hood to the 45 and Tom was kind enough to give me a bib hinge so I could get the front clip back on. I ended up taking the painter to Small Claims Court but he's so broke that I'm just getting the rest of the parts and supplies back "as-is". I'll pick up the bed, upper cab, roof, and small parts as soon as the weather cooperates. I'll either paint the rest myself or fly Ryan down for a long weekend to get this thing put back together.

Longer term, I'm thinking seriously about converting to a 383 so I'll have something to tow with once I sell the FJC.

Yes, my garage is a crap hole.

Looking good. I was wondering why it was taking so long. I had no idea you were having such problems with the painter. Glad to see it is resolved. Let me know if/when Ryan gets back into town and I can come over and drink your bourbon (and maybe help too).

Why are you selling the FJC?

My garage is a crap hole too.

Lylia is having more problems including reduced peripheral vision so she's not comfortable driving the FJC. She quit driving all together for a month or so and finally had to get out so she drove Sparqy. She's more comfortable in the Prius (other than the possibility of a sticking accelerator) so she's driving the '06 and I bought a '10 Prius (who needs brakes?).

lookin great!

except for the garage....jebus. Is that Ryan's tricycle in the back of the garage? I could've used that with the circus pig :grinpimp:'

I hope Lylia's vision gets better...

I cropped as much crap out of the picture as I could. I've got Matt's crap, Ryan's tools, and about 1200 bdft of cherry and maple, a 40 tub, Lylia's crap, and I think the neighbors put crap in my garage at night.

i was wondering what was up with the`45...... i like the yellow

Lookin' good Bob. If you want just give me a call and I'll come over and get that cherry and maple out of your way :hillbilly:

I'm going to sell most of the maple and a little of the cherry if you need some.

Lookin good!
Your garage my be full of crap but at lest you don't get water in your tub when it rains.
Sorry to hear about lyila. hope it gets better.

How much to you charge for storage? I have a bunch of crap I need to store too...

I don't charge much but I have a tendency to throw crap away when it's been there too long.

Looking great Bob. Glad the painter snafu is at an end, or will be once the extra parts are picked up.

I believe you can never have enough crap. So crap on...

Fingers are crossed for Lylia.

Thanks Bubba

No major progress; I've been waiting for the mud to dry up so I can retrieve the rest of the parts from the painter. Looks like I may finally get everything back this weekend.

I got back all of the parts that the painter didn't lose and I've replaced the lost parts via Mud and eBay. That's about the time my shoulder went south so not much progress. The good news is that Ryan will be back in Warrenton in a week and my shoulder is now semi functional so it may finally live again. I'd really like to have it driveable by the Pig Run.

Incredible. Not only didn't the painter (term loosely used) not paint the parts, but LOST them? I wasn't aware of that. Sorry to hear about the extra hassle recollecting missing parts. Are you collecting parts for the 383 yet, or are you planning on driving the 45 with its F motor there if ready? Cause that would mean the green trails for you, since that doesn't tow well with an F.
