Went on a little wheeling trip this weekend with a couple of people. I had a really good time, it was especially good for me cause my 62's been down for a long time and got to wheel on some trails that I have never been down before. Here is a link to the pics I have.

Kaua'i is better than O'ahu. We went to Peacock Flats, its on the leeward side of Oahu. It was really dry and dusty up there, even with the little bit of rain we got overnight didnt help. I might be going again this weekend so there might be more pics coming.

I think my next mod is gona be gears. 35's with stock gears and steep hills don't mix very well.

Nice pictures, there aren't as many places to wheel as before. They crack down pretty hard on trucks and trails. Yo, me_tu05 did you just get swampers? and I've seen that guy with the chevy at my store too, doesnt he have a ford rear axle or something crazy like that.

Kauai still has some places to wheel but its getting slim (the beaches are pretty crowded nowadays) most of my wheeling is done on old hunting roads and the ditch lines from the plantation days. I 'll have my 60 running by the new year if anybody makes it out here hit me up.

Yea I just got some ltb's, still havent got to use them yet. The guy with the chevy has a pretty sick truck, used to be a 2wd auto. he put a d44 up front and a ford 8.8 w/ lockrite out back. Also converted it to 5speed. He has broken a lot of things on it lately but its getting really solid now. If you wana go sometime LMK.

No kidding about the superferry. I understand some of the reasoning for not wanting it there but if they set up and stick to a strict inspection policy then it shouldnt be a problem. I got a free ticket to ship stuff to kauai from the navy within the next 7 months so I will be there. Not to mention my girlfriend grew up there and her mother still lives there.

Thats cuz I couldt get a permit that day. Oh well, next time. hopefully it will be a whole nother beast then.
