Long story short I was driving in the rain down an on ramp, started hydroplaning, tires hit broken beer bottle, front driver's side popped, slid on rim over side smashed bumper on rockson the slope, managed to slide into the shoulder without hitting another car (Thank God). Had it towed to a shop, nice guy who ran it, got it up and running for around $280. Was driving it today when I noticed that the driver's side back door is not clsing properly. The bottom half closes perfect but the top half seems to be bent outward preventing it from sealing and causing a lot of annoying sound on the highway. I did not hit the sides of the cruiser, just the bumper. Is this a bent frame? I will post pix after Bears-Packers game. GO BEARS

Scared the s*** outta me but I was lucky, next time Ill remember that the speed limit is under ideal conditions aha.

Im not sure how to upload images so if these dont work can someone talk me through it?

looks like possibly the frame (does it drive ok?) or maybe the body buckled back at the b pillar?

take a good look at the b pillar w/ the doors open, hinges and rocker- see if the paint is cracked or metal is bent or broken

maybe even a broken hinge?

the door isn't a little loose on the hinge is it?

So I took another look at it and it looks like along the top edge of the door groove there is a round bulge in the metal possibly from a bending or a dent I don't know from what...The driver's side panel next to the hood got all banged up but I still do not think that should call

i see no pictures..
sounds like u bent something important

I cannot see the pics either...but it doesnt sound good!

Any fresh paint chips on the edge of the door or body where the two points could have made contact?

Wow,

Sorry to see that, I am sure at some point this will end up on some other forum about fragile LC 80's. I would look and maybe take it to a body shop and have them check it out. Is that the only damage?

Well the bumper got trashed up good so Im replacing that with an arb winch-ready one, and the driver's side panel next to the hood got bumped so its out of alignment which also created a gap between the hood and the panel...all in all a lot of problems although I think the only ones that matter is this and the bumper so I will put off the rest of those fixes until after new years.
