Trying to TREAD LIGHTLY, when crossing the pit the temp was already -14c in the shade. I wasnt going to take any chances being alone . So my trusty 24v M8000 to the rescue. I could have done without it but I didnt want to chew the s*** out of this sensitive area

Well thats it for now. This trip was done Oct 10-12. Today it is probably impassible due to deep snow. The temp range on this trip was -4c to at least -20c and altitudes up to 2000meters or 6000feet

Wow, you really slipped through there at the last possible minute! That's a cold whipsaw run...
How was the big mud hole near Lodestone? I'm still finding muck from the trip through there a month ago.

Did you decide on tires? And are you planning to run the crawler box WITH the Mark's T case?!

Hello,

Great trip, nice photos.

Did the altitude affect your engine? Does it have a high altitude compensator?

Hi Norm, it was COLD . Decided to bring the other tent incase we had to MOVE QUICKLY ie Grizzly or Snow. Here is a pic of the Mudpit. Camera pictures dont do it any justice

I would like to get SIMEX Centepedes for tires. The Marks gears have alot of steel on them compared to stock Toyota gears . I guess I could use the stock case that I have with the Crawl (Toybox). Hmmmm decisions decisions!

Thanks JuanJ, the 13B-T just smoked a bit more than usual at the higher altitudes and it does have a high altitude compensator on the injector pump.

Hello,

Thank you for the info, the 13B-T is a good engine. Any power loss with the altitude?
