Peter, That's awesome for you and Fred.
If he retires, I will feel the loss.

Here's the link to the condenser that caused the headaches. The guys at CruiserParts said it would fit my '88 and they were right I guess.
AC Cooler Condenser 70 series 1985-newer [88460-60180] - $429.00 : CruiserParts.net, Toyota Landcruiser Parts

I am researching which condenser will work for A/C system in my LHD FJ73 and am wondering if anyone can confirm if this one will work? Mine is working fine right now so I am just researching P/Ns and writing them down.

LHD 70 series A/C parts seem to be unicorn parts.

I plugged that number above into ToyoDIY. I forget the year of yours.

Results: 1990-2006 FJ7* (among others)

Thanks for checking. I don't really use ToyoDIY so I dodn't know about that feature.

That part number was specific to North American market, so LHD I guess.

Just my .02

I have converted nearly all my older R12 vehicles to R134a. I always try and take apart the lines and flush with brake cleaner and compressed air to get the old oil out, and I replace as many o-rings as I can easily get to. That's about it. Fresh PAG oil and R134a. Fill it until the gauges show good pressures.

With a new blower motor and fresh R134a charge my troopy gets nice and cool now, even on a 95 degree Florida day! Next up, window tint.
