A/C shop in East Cleveburg? Akronish, perhaps?

Anyone have a good recommendation for an A/C shop in the Streetsboro / Hudson / Stow area? I have some nice squealing going on, accompanied by lovely bubbling in the sight, and my coldest air would make a hair dryer blush...

Might be time for a R134 conversion and compressor, but I do not know if there are any leaks - thinking I should know that before going on an A/C buying spree, eh?

Appreciate any references you can offer.

Jeff

The common leak on the FJ60 is the compressor itself. Much like the PS pump, it is a poor design that flexes under load and opens up joints to leaking. This is why the compresor is always oily on a FJ60.

FWIW, the compressor used on FJ62 and newer is a much better design. Unfortunately, it is not a drop-in replacement for the FJ60 compressor.

That's all I got.

Thanks Jim.

Actually lost a belt today (water pump) but caught it before it overheated too far. Thinking the belt may have been loose and contributing to the absence of the A/C, so, once I get the parts, I suppose I'll know. Thanks for your help as always.

Actually, if the smog pump turns out to be seized, it may be time for the Jim C. desmog / carb-o-rama... Heck, might be that time anyway...
