Jumped in the Cruiser this afternoon and no a/c, also noticed a smell. It was working yesterday without issue. Got home and noticed an oil spot where my the passenger side of the truck sits. Dabbed it with a paper towel and noticed an oily green florescent color (dye assuming), smell was similar to what was coming out of the vents. Oil spot was the size of a basketball. Crawled under the truck and noticed moisture around the condensate drain, dabbed it and sure enough the same florescent green.

So after doing a little research on here, thinking it's quite possibly the evaporator core? Anyone else have this problem?

It is the supply line for the rear air. It corrodes right behind the front wheel at the rocker panel. Common guaranteed to happen to every Cruiser out there.
I spliced mine. Cost me $20 and half hr plus a large can of refrigerant.
To easily find the leak, go buy a cheap can of R-134, start throwing it in, crawl under passenger side, you'll find it easily. It will be under the protective insulation on the a/c line.
Google it, tons of info with better descriptions than me.

My apologies for assuming your truck had rear air.

I do not have any knowledge on how to help you, sorry.
