Trying to repair/replace bad clutch bearing on an 83 Corolla. I have the 12mm nut removed, but I don't know what size bolt I need to drive into clutch to draw it off of the compressor shaft. I will have to hollow out the end of it, so only want to do it once to the right bolt. TIA. John

OK. I'll try working it off. I have a pic of the clutch that looks like the ID of the center pocket is threaded, as though you would insert a larger, hollow bolt to draw the clutch off the shaft. Thanks, John

Hi John, That should be a Denso 10P13 compressor. If so, once you've removed that nut, the hub should slide off. The stud looks like 8mm x 1.5
OK, I have it all apart. Looks like I need a Nachi or NTN bearing 40BGS12DS, and I only found the smaller outside snap ring. So it looks like I also need the larger inside snap ring that holds the bearing into the pulley. Can you send me price and availability on these? Thanks, John

I can't get that # to cross, but is yours 60mm OD x 40mm ID x 24mm wide? Some of them had a bearing that was 24mm on the width of the inner race and 20.6mm on the width of the outer race. In the 1st case, that bearing is $21.14 in the 2nd case it would be $21.44. I'll see if I have a snap-ring of the correct size.
Let me know,
Rex

I think I got it covered now. Lots of confusion about the right bearing, but it looks like it was based on whether the engine was 1.6 or 1.8L. Found the right snap ring too. Thanks for the help. John
