Been lurking for awhile and think I'm close to joining the ranks of owners.
I'm looking at a 1988 BJ62 in Vancouver, to import down to Los Angeles. (Don't worry this isn't an importation thread)
The rig has a rebuilt 3B and appears to be in great shape. The only problem is that it doesn't have an AC unit installed. I have a 60 mile round trip commute so A/C is kind of a necessity for me.
How difficult is it to source and install a complete AC unit on one of these trucks? I've looked at SOR but can't tell if they sell the complete unit.
Any advice on this? I really want this rig but the lack of AC looks to be a deal breaker.
