A/C dash button

I've tried to find a thread on this and I'm sure it is out there, but have any of you had trouble with your A/C not shutting off. I can't get mine to go off. After I first purchased the hundy I noticed it was tempormental to shut it off, but now it wont at all. Atleast the green light in the button stays on all the time unless I shut the dial off. This is on a 98.

My button works some of the time, I have a feeling the contacts get worn out or dirty over time. I have to press mine very hard and hold it until the light goes off.

Same here. It is worse when it is cold out.

I would bank on dirty contacts. My rear air button is doing the same thing. Can you just pop the front cover off and check or do you have to pull the entire dash bezel and circuit board? It's starting to cool down in Atlanta after a grueling summer, so I'm not too worried about it. As long as the heat works I am fine for now.

You can't just pop the cover; I tried that. You need to take apart the entire control box and get to the electronics, which looks like a major job. Sorry.

I'll just wait till she quits. I have taken the circuit board apart but didn't have this problem.

I have the same issue with the ac button... mine still works tho...just gotta press it a couple times
