I've gone round and round with this thing and everything that I do seems to be wrong.
While changing my spark plug wires today, I noticed that the belt on the A/C condenser had flipped. Seeing that it's been snowing up here, I haven't needed it in about 6 months. I released the tension on the belt, flipped it right way round and through the guide on the bottom of the condenser, around the big pulley and fired the engine up. It ran for about 5 seconds until I heard a flapping sound coming from the engine bay. Repeat x4 until frustration level maxes out.
What am I doing wrong? Is it just time for a new belt or am I missing something totally elementary? I think that I'm making great strides in my ability to diagnose/fix things on Beatrice, but this one has me going .
Any help would be appreciated.
