So I was at one of my clients today, a local Toyota dealer and of course they had a fleet of FJC's on the lot. Out of curiosity, I had a look at the window sticker...it was your basic loaded FJC with an MSRP of $30k and change. Then you see the dealer asking price of $39k...huh? They added 3 things for this $9 grand:

17" wheels (what...maybe $1,600 tops?)
33" Cooper tyres (Can that be anymore than $600?)
And of course, a 3" lift (Basicaly $200 worth of spacers)

I know I'm bad at math but I get $2,400 plus MAYBE a couple hrs labor. Are people really that stupid that they'll pay for this crap?? Just wondering.

Someone may...but the dealership is on the hook for the modifications they made to the drivetrain; can't void the warranty on a dealership-installed lift on an untitled vehicle!

Really good point. One of the reasons that if I could buy one I would probably wait till the special edition is out and pay the premium for it.
