On my recently purchased 99 4Runner, 3.4L when I drive away from my house in the cooler mornings now it will delay upshifting from 2nd for a few blocks if I hold the rpm at say 2000. If I rev it up further then it will upshift at maybe 2500 rpm. Is this normal as it appears as though maybe it needs a certain temperature before it upshifts at a lower rpm?
Does anyone know if this is the case or what?
My 96 with the 2.7L doesn't do this that I've noticed.
