98 100 series Brake light (Brakelight) always on after switching the car off. Have disconnected the battery presently. (6 Viewers)

Warm Greetings Folks. I searched the forums but cant seem to locate a thread. If somebody could direct or suggest. My Brake lights are always on even if i switch off the car. Some finer points.

- Left brake light and left brake corner light is always on.
- Right brake light is on. Right brake corner is off. i will check the bulb tomorrow.
- Blinker is behaving normally.
- Reverse lights do not come on when i put it in reverse.
- When the brake lights are on the top light above the hatch door is always on.
- All stock no modifications at all. Texas car always. was fine till about yesterday.
- No check engine light and well maintained till this issue came up.

Should i be checking for a bad relay or a fuse bulb could cause this?

A long time lurker and congratutaltions to many beautiful rigs.

Any ideas how to diagnose.

@slimno19 , As luck would have it. Toyota of Katy is the only one who has it today.
