Just picked up this one owner beauty. Runs and looks great. Here is the question. It is running original plugs and wires. I tried to remove the wires from the head and was met with major resistance. Is there a special way other than just pulling hard to remove the wires? I suspect after fourteen years things will be a little stuck. Just dont want to break things unnecessarily.

thanks in advance

V6? If so I think I remember clips, and I'm pretty sure I broke them because the new plug set had them so it wouldn't matter, just can't reuse the old ones. I have no idea on the 4cyl.

yeah, I hear you on that. New wires and plugs, disty cap and rotor, and all fluids.

I bet those plugs will look well worn, I pulled mine just past 100k and they were toast.

they make a tweezer/plier to pull small plug wires such as those on the 2.7L.

the gap is listed in a chiltons, or the free factory shop manual, there is a link at the top of the 95+ toyota truck page near the FAQ. Spark plug gap is also listed in the owners manual as well.
