WILD!

Wife went to the store
Shut the LX off
Locks wouldn't wonk (dead)
Truck wouldn't re-start (everything was dead)

I got there
Everything was dead
Keyless entry didn't work
Looked under the hood (new Optima and good batt cables)
Closed the hood
Went to lock the doors via switch (we were leaving cus I'm working)...THEY LOCKED
I tried to unlock...NOPE
Rockered the lock switch a few more times and they WORKED again.
Put the key in....POWER
Started the LX and came home (everything worked)
Locks locked when home

?????? IDEAS? BAD CONNECTION? ANYBODY EVER HAVE THIS HAPPEN? WE WHEELED YESTERDAY? ??????

That thing has demons, get rid of it already! :D

Sounds like a bad connection, turn on a load, the lights work well, wiggle the wires at the battery and look for the lights to flash or go off. Probably the fuseable link at the battery positive side.

If it's the fuseable link buy two so that you have a spare, in case mine goes bad on the trail!

The FL was my first thought too. I rattled the thing hard yesterday. 70MPH on Bumble Bee Road to Cordes and to I-17. I needed the 100's VSC on a few turns. :D

Mine did that 3 years ago out front of a liquor store. Everything looked ok. I phoned the wife for a ride, and after I hung up it started .. been 'eventless' ever since. At least nothing similar to that.

I had an 81 mini a few years back that would do that every so often, problem was a dirty ground. check your battery terminals for corrrosion and also the main engine and body grounds.

Could be moisture somewhere??

Also check the battery clamps to the terminals. I have one that loosens and the power will flicker off momentarily and I know to immediately pull over and tighten it.
