96 Tacoma Flatbed (1 Viewer)

looking to pull the bed from my 96 regular cab tacoma this fall and build a flat bed for it.. more for utility use than a lot of the crawler style cages ive seen around the forums.. any tips or things to watch out for on these trucks other than to keep the weight down as much as possible?

i like the flat bed idea, and it's on my list when my bed starts rusting through. It is a good idea to box the frame especially if your going to have any weight rear of the axle or a rear bumper tire carrier.

Yeah, that was going to be my first step after pulling it off.. did the same thing to a old M880 that I had years back. I didnt know that there was a kit though.. thanks for the tip

i installed some of this track in the rear of my bed to hold the dirt bikes and other items. this would work well on flatbed giving you multiple mounting locations
