If anyone out there can help the headlights to my 95 land cruiser have gone out. All other lights work including running lights, hazards, high beams, blinkers etc.. I have checked out fuses under the hood and in the dash and everything seems to be okay. Could I simply need to replace the relay switch? Should I pull out the headlights and check the bulbs or is this probably an electrical problem that I should take it to a professional for? I am fairly handy with vehicles as long as I have guidance, but electrical issues in vehicles are something I struggle with.

Thank you for any help!!

you might try jiggling the harness while your lights are on to see if anything happens. If you see it flash, you may have a broken or worn-through wire. If not and your fuses are good, you may have a switch or a relay problem. I would probably take it somewhere to have them test it out if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself. There are a lot of variables here. Good luck.

Good chance its just the bulbs that have given out. Give them a check before you do anything else its not uncommon for a bulb or two to die now and then.

If it does turn out to be your bulbs your low beams are 9006 type bulbs and the high beams use 9005 bulbs

Cheers

The chances of both low beam bulbs burning out at the same time is fairly low. Certainly check one, but I doubt that would be the problem.

If the high beams work, then relays and fuses are all good.
Check for +12 AND for a good ground at the bulb socket.
If no +12 then the switch on the stalk is bad.

Hey, this just happened to mine. Left the lights on for 3hrs and the left bulb went out. When i replaced both it worked fine until the low beams went a few hrs after replacement. Now the high beams have gone a day afterwards. Did you ever figure it out? Will check volt tomorrow
