For Sale 95 4-runner 1KZT 5 speed 4wd $7,800

1995 4 runner, 4WD leather, power windows, sunroof,

was gas V-6 automatic.
recently installed Toyota 1KZT 3 litre turbo diesel and 5 speed

mechanical injector pump, no computer, 5 speed with solid mass flywheel

If you;ve been looking, you know how hard it is to find these engines.

clear GA title, title still says gas engine.

runs & drives, needs tires and finishing details, hooking up A/C etc.

Not many miles on the swap yet, I cant get it smogged and registered, the A/C just needs a hose, Id expect a min of 20 in town and more on the hwy, but other peoples swaps have been all over the map.

Bro, I am interested in putting the 1kzt into a 1997 Tacoma. Being that both your 4runner and my Tacoma are 3rd gens, will the install consist of mainly the same fabrications to fit the drivetrain on the frame? The Tacoma is already 5spd but with the 2.7L engine, do you know if the 1kzt/5spd combo is approx the same length as the 2.7l/5spd? If so that is super cuz the shifter would be the correct position and if the tcases are the same length as well, then both prop shafts will not need to be adjusted.....

I think a 97 Taco is a different gen than a 95 runner, I think the overall length is close, i think you;ll have to modify the crossmember/trans mount. and possibly the engine mounts as well.

search on the web and see if you can find someone thats done the swap.

I think dieseltoyz has done some.
