The project is now substantially complete. 1st came the lift, wheels, and tires. Next was the ARB front bumper, ARB rack, and Summit winch. Thought I'd share the pic's. Hope you all like it. I know! Remove the running boards! (Not!, It's too tall for the wife!)

Next, rear tire carrier and front spring spacers and final caster correction.

Looking very nice!

Get a taller wife :grinpimp:

Cruiserhead - The stock wheels rust rack and Fr bumper are in the garage - Probably post them for sale later.

Vadimb / elhombre - I'll take the shorter wife that lets me do this to her daily kid mobile / my weekend warrier and loves it.

Congratulations on a great looking LC, do you feel you have better approach angle now that you have the ARB front bumper? How many inches did you gain?

How do you feel about the weight and noise since you install the ARB Roof Rack?

Sorry for all the questions, however i am in the prosses of doing the same mods as you have!;)

Euro

The front ARB definitely incresed the approach but I'll have to measure it to give you an accurate increase. I'll try to get it to you tomorrow.

As for the roof rack, I don't notice that much wind noise except when the sunroof is open. Weight wise, I can tell it's up there when swerving but not while going slow. Our wheeling here is flat so no issues with being tippy.

I think the biggest issue I've noticed is that the truck currently wants to come out of overdrive when on the highway and the speed/wind is high. The combination of the extra weight, wind resistance, and 35" tires have affected it like towing a trailer would. It runs great even at 75mph but O.D. is questionable.

Hope this helps.

Are you running with the POWER button on? I have to to get anywhere with the 35s, ARB rack, and tent up top with the hills we have here.

Two things:

1) Get Slee step sliders - they have a traction surface and are as good as the stock junk for climbing in but also provide full protection;

2) What rims are those?

Good looking rig!

Cody - I run with the power button on and overdrive button off for all driving under 60mph. I figure it'e easier on the tranny trying to compensate for the issues discussed. I haven't loaded the rack yet but imagine it's going to get worse before better

Nay- Do the Slee step siders mount at the same heigh as the running boards? The wheels are Gear Alloy 16 x 8, 4.5 backspace and 108mm hub. They look better in person than the pic's and are pretty inexpensive. I payed $100 each for them but that was beacause my first wheel choice didn't fit and the company matched the price. Otherwise, they'd be $120.

Which model Gear wheels are those...??? They look great...I am trying to get a new set of wheels for mine albeit...I want to put bead-locks on whatever I get...any ideas if you can bead-lock those? Where did you get your roof-rack from?

The Slee step sliders are higher than the running boards because the step part is raised, but not all that much. They are a true step function plus the step protects the rig offroad if that matters to you. Plus they look sweet :D

fjfar - The wheels are Gear Allloy 711MB - I don't know the actual "name". I didn't see anything with bead locks. I doubt they're available. The rack I got from Todd at Landrcrusher 4 x4. He's an ARB distributor near my office and was a pleasure to work with. I got everything from him (OME 2.5 lift, fr bumper, and rack) except the wheel/tire combo and the winch.
