G'day everyone, Newbie here. My 1993 4.5ltr petrol Landcruiser has decided it cant rev past 2200rpm since I Gernied the underside of the chassis. It doesn't matter whether its parked and in neutral or it is being driven. When parked and in neutral and accellerator is pressed the engine revs to 2200rpm then cuts out till revs drop to about 1200 rpm. If the accellerator is held down (not flat out) the engine fluctuates between about 1200 and 2200 rpm. When driving in 1st gear when it reaches 2200rpm it dies and when I change up to 2nd gear all is good till it reaches 2200rpm again and so on up to 5th gear. If I drive under 2200rpm the engine runs like a swiss watch but it wont go past 2200rpm. I expect I have water in a sensor connection (hopefully nothing more serious) but I have checked all I can find but still no go. I have been told it is probably the "RPM SENSOR" but I dont know where it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds exactly like the time I got the TPS wet. It is towards the front of the throttle body.

Dont know what it was but in desperation I disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes and now it runs perfectly!
