I see a lot of harley guys with 2 lightening bolts, right next to each other... You should do that!

So did it have lockers? Do you need them or pull them for a profit? If they are locker axles I may be interested.

I know he sold the front third, as far as I know he still has everything else...

With a non locked 80 I would need the whole axle to convert to factory locker, Right? I couldn't just put a locked third member in my housing can I?

You can put a e-locked 3rd in your front axle. You have to cut a little rectangle in the 3rd member mounting surface to allow for the locker. Mini guys do it frequently. The easiest thing to do is buy a e-locker 3rd member gasket and lay it on your axle and trace out the new shape, and new bolt holes. Cut, drill (tap or tack nuts on the inside (stronger)), mount, then deal with the wiring, or cable actuate it.

Or install an ARB.

Or install an auto locker, center diff lock, and manual hubs....

Finally gonna wheel with solid axle?...

I was just thinking of how cooler i would be at the mall, resi shocks out back, SA up front....

I wheeled with a aolid axle for 4 years... Thats how i learned how to wrench on stuff.

You going to sell your lefty kit? I figured you would have just gone with a custom housing instead of swapping front output sides and dealing with exhaust and maybe fuel tank....

I would flip the housing. This is a target of opportunity, i am in no rush to swap the taco. I have a drivers drop waggy hd44 for this truck already if i wanted to go the easy route.

I know you can flip the 9.5's, but I am 99% sure you can't flip the 8"....

EDIT: lemme rephrase, anything is possible, but at what point is it not worth it. You'll have to spin the balls, diff cover, maybe modify the mount flange, re drill a breather and drain, etc. And your still stuck with an 8" third. If you use a 40 or 60 series, its less work, a little narrower, and you end up with a 9.5 3rd.
