Hey all,
I have a white '93 FJ80 that I am thinking about buying off of my parents and turning into a sweet rig for camping/overlanding/daily driving. The body is completely rust free but the engine is questionable. Th truck has about 250k miles on it so it's definitely getting up there, but it seems like the engine should be able to last a few hundred thousand more miles (hopefully) based on other trucks. The head gasket has never been replaced (to my knowledge). Truck has a bit of a rough idle but does not smoke. Here is the kicker: I go through about a quart of oil at every fuel up. Any thoughts on how to remedy this? Thanks!
