owned my pzj for over 3 years, starts up everytime, runs smooth. alot of the 1hz parts are direct fit.

What else can you ask for? 😊

Great engine but if you need certain parts for it to keep it running, it can turn into a big paperweight.

thanks for replies. asking a few more questions, but have also asked for invoice, lol

understand PZ may be hard to get parts for, looks like it was in operation 1990-2001, and Jordan is where the old busses and stuff end up, so if something happens in next few months, should be fine. once in US, if catastrophic, could either upgrade to 1HZ and h55, or go r2.8 with the available r150 bellhousings

If the previous owner (owners) serviced the engine properly and you do the same, there should not be any major issues on the horizon. I suggest buying it and enjoying it. 😊

Have a 92 pzj75. Just clocked over 400K km and running great, very reliable. As stated above, it’s all about how it was treated throughout its life. The only part really that is hard/expensive to find is the injector pump. Most other parts are 1HZ crossovers.

Yeah the injector pump is one of the hardest parts to find and expensive. I speak from experience on that one.

Anything 1PZ specific such as the IP, head, cacrank, etc will not be as easy as 1HZ. Even the radiator hoses for the 1PZ are not the same as 1HZ (they are a little longer).

The engine was only in production for 4 or 5 years unlike the 1HZ.

There is a guy selling a few rebuilt IPs in the in classifieds right now for what I think is $600 each which is not an opportunity that comes along very often.

Fortunately there are folks just south of @Defuzer1 that can help him with injector pump issues should they occur. 😊

Thanks more info rolling in ... appears to have been in accident at one time explains good paint , newer striping, and new bumpers. Actually came from austrian embassy and contact here is in comms with old fleet mgr to ask questions as well . Told them as long as frame is straight and it runs good lets do it ---- more info Saturday --- ac and heater supoosed to be fine --- slight cultural issue is city arabs dont trust the bedouins much so comms are hit and miss ** and as always no one is in a hurry lol**

There are a lot of us that have rebuilt/rebuilding engines Toyota only made for a few years. 13BT/12HT come to mind. We have been able to pretty much find everything needed for now minus big ticket items. (block/crank/cam/head...those you find used)

If you are OK with worst case scenario you swap to a 1HZ/1HDT/etc then I wouldn't worry about it too much.

more info. need some help with this one. got the PZ part. looks like it ws originally white. 4.56 gears, locking diff but

That is the four speed.

Another mud member here has a 1PZ 75 series with the same transmission but his user name escapes my head at the moment. It is a red one and he is from the Philippines.

Edit: @CharlesHS is the name.

@FJ73Texas thanks. thing is looking odder all the time.

all this and I can't actually go see it. lol

reading up on it, guess I need to figure if I want to live with no OD.

More info rolling in and correction to above

Truck designed and built for embassy duty (Australia) and therefore it has been completley isolated from chassis area ..... inquiring about vin markings on chassis, if any

R141 is the 4 speed so this cruiser was probably the most basic one available , check to see if it even has power steering ?
