Just bought a 92 toy hilux extra cab 4x4 v6 5 speed. Want to lift to run 33x10.5x15 bfg a/t. Was lookin at 4" bracket lifts but no increased travel and heard bad reviews. So I'm about to make an order and need some advice.
Looking to get:
front: toytec 2" ball joint spacer($139) with longer bilsteins. May get heavy duty torsion bars down the road if I need to do a little cranking(heard best to leave stock or crank a little)
rear: Trail Gear 3" rear suspension kit($749 but I can get it 15% off and free shipped right now)
Trail gear claims driveshaft may or may not need lengthening( thats including the 4" and 5 " lifts too so maybe with just the 3" I'm ok??? Anybody know??
Any advice on this combo would be appreciated.. Ive searched and found no one with this combo online. A lot of ball joint spacers and rear add a leafs or blocks(poor reviews-stiff ride) Or alot of SAS fronts with trail gear rear kits(too much money and involved)
This is mainly a street truck with a little trail riding. I have fjs for the serious stuff. Right now the truck is all stock and the front sits a little higher than the rear. So I figure with the high rear lift(3") and 2" front it will even out or have the rear sit a little higher which is what i prefer.
Thanks, in advance..
