91 Toyota surf slow to accelerate (1 Viewer)

I have a 91 Toyota surf with a 3L head and it’s slow to accelerate in 4th gear 70km/h 2k rpms
I do have a injection pump leak that’s getting fixed this week could it be that? Or boost leak? Any ideas are appreciated

acceleration is fine until that though

Just gear down. Power doesn't come on in these motors until around 2400rpm and peaks around 3200. They love the revs.

Get a boost gauge, pyrometer and manual boost controller. Tune the truck to 12psi. It'll go much better.
