I just picked up a 91 Land Cruiser with a smog legal 350 FI (5.7 out of a 97 GMC) not sure what Chevy/GMC Tran's was used (auto trans). It drives nice and I bought it for a 2nd family vehicle however, the wife is not happy with it and wants me to sell it. I've been out of the 4x4 hobby for a long time and just don't know what a fair price to ask is. The cruiser has 202,000 miles on the vehicle itself however the engine and tranny has roughly 50K miles. I'm located in Roseville CA and please let me know if I posted this incorrectly. Also, I have about 3 pictures and I don't know how to attache them, Sorry

I'm asking $5800 and I can be reached at 916-792-7766

Why not just go buy a Blazer? Seems like a waste of money to put crappy american parts into a toyota. I know a guy that put a toyota 4.7L V8 into a 91 Cruiser. Now that is money well spent.

Because you can't buy a cruiser with toy 4.7 for 4500 bucks. 350 small block and 700r4 tranny are actually probably the two best things Chevrolet ever made.

But they're still not Toyota. I'm sure they are a decent engine and trans, but you can't beat Toyota's durability and longevity. Can you tell that I am a Toyota guy through and through ;)

If I had teh extra dough, I would be interested....perfect marriage here between my gutless but uniques 60, and my 94 Yukon.

Oh don't worry, I am Toyota as well. I was just simply answering your question.:D

Just crawled under and the pan looks like number 6. This make since because the motor is a 91 5.7. Is this a good transmission? Any info would be wonderful, Thanks again

That is not a 91 motor. It is later than that looking at the intake.

Thanks ginericLC, I was told its a 97 GMC 5.7. I'm not stating that its correct but so far for all parts I've purchased to replace (ac pump)(radiator) have fit perfect. Also the fan has the year and make on it when the motor was done. Again this could be wrong but so far everthing is making since.
