So the past week ive been trying to install a remote start, and ive also changed the plunger and contacts in my starter. Not to mention the remote start has yet to work and the starter doesnt work in the cold. But the other night i was driving home a noticed my thermo didnt move and my fan was blowing cold air?? shoot me now.... I could really use some advice on how to fix this, could i have disconnected or touched the wrong wire underneath the steering wheel or underneath the hood? i dont think its my thermostat seeing as when i plug in my circulating coolant heat i get a reading on it?? Any help would be awesome, this week has been rough.... thanks!:bang::bang:

Not sure if your controls will be the same as my 1990 22RE. Check all the cables for the heater controls. Mine managed to unclip itself in the engine bay, which is the cable that controls coolant flow to the heater core. The valve can also be quite stiff, or even stuck, especially in the cold. I eventually cleaned out the valve and wired the cable to it. Good luck. It looks pretty cold in Yellowknife right now.

Ill give my controls another look but they seem to be free moving the other night. I was thinking it could be the heater core? at this point i have no idea.:hhmm:

Sometimes my Hot/cold control lever (blue/red) will move in the cab, without actually opening the little plastic valve in the engine bay. You might have to get a helper to move the lever while you watch where the cable attaches to the valve. Is there any coolant loss? Heater core will usually have some output unless there is a blockage or leaking. I'm guessing it's Right hand drive? Any signs or smells of leakage in the pass. side carpet area?
