I have a 2004 LC and am ready for my 90K mile service. What is standard in the 90K mile service? it seems that everyone, even dealerships do different things, some do more and some do less.

It is a Toyota, I would think there is a standard of what is changed or replace at the 90K but I keep getting different answers. WTF?

Any help would be appreciated.

Try a quick search on "90k", thread titles only, specific to the 100 section. Tons of threads, you can see what people have replaced, and make your own decisions on what you want to replace.

EDIT - and I believe if you look in your owner's manual or online, you can see exactly what Toyota calls out for the 90k service. Then you can judge if a dealership is doing more or less than what Toyota calls for.

Thanks for your replies but again, several different opinions and people have done different things at the 90K mile service.

And yes I have done a search and same thing many different answers, prices, what should and shouldn't be done etc.

I guess I will just do what my owners manual says and that's all. Even when I ask multiple dealers I get different answers and different prices.

Just trying not to over pay or replace things that don't need to be replaced at this time.

If you're looking for someone to tell you what to replace, it's not going to happen, it's your truck, you need to decide. I know in many of the 90k threads it's discussed as to what the "minimums" are and what the possible "while you're in there's" are. You know the history of your truck, your usage, and what you want to pay. That should dictate how much on top of the minimum you'll want to do.

And as for overpaying, again, that's up to you. From your search you should have been able to see the range of what people have paid and for what services. From that you should be able to judge what your dealerships are quoting you for the work.

I would also do these at the same time as the rest of your 90k service:

- '04+ came with the Super Long Life Coolant (100k/10YR)
- WS transmission fluid (Lifetime or 60k interval when towing)
- Fuel Filter
