90,000 mile service

I'm considering purchasing a very clean, stock 100 series. It is for sale at a
dealership, but salesman states he has spoken with the PO. The PO (original owner) states all of the service has been performed at a Toyota dealership. The dealership contacted the Toyota dealership wh

Where service was supposedly performed to see if the 90,000 mile service has been done. They indicated there records only go back to 67,000 miles, at which time records where purged. Sounds kinda funny to me. Anyway, I thought read somewhere that Toyota places a service sticker on the vehicle when the 90,000 mile service is completed. Is there a standard location where I can find this sticker?

Mines on the top of the airbox. I don't know if there is a standard place but it should be fairly visible when you open the hood.

FYI, my 90k mile service is on a sticker on the resonator (?) box in between the Intake box/MAF and the TB. It's that oblong square box that sticks out of the intake tube.

Thanks for all the replies. The Land Cruiser is a 1998 with ~140,000 miles. It looks good and appears to be on good shape. But, I know the 90,000 mile service is pretty costly so need to take that into consideration if I decide to purchase. Thanks again for all the replies.

Mine was done at a Lexus dealership with no sticker. Also re placement Is time sensitive, I think it is every 6 years. I would figure in a timing belt and water pump change into your purchase.

My shop gave me the sticker to put on. These seems to be no standard place to stick it. A look at the condition of the serpentine belt should give you a good indication since they're often changed at the same time. But your best bet is to do as a previous poster suggested and look it up on http://www.toyota.com/owners/

If it was done at a dealership, it'll show up there. Also with service records, no proof = assume it hasn't been done.

I was looking at a LC at a dealership and he offered to throw in the 90K service for "free" if I bought it. You may be able to work the 90K service into the deal, as it doesn't cost them more than a few hundred --their cost-- to do it.
